This serious game is a board game with technological influence. The reason for a boardgame was that the player or future parents should interact and communicate with each other.

The game is devided in four different development phases: Baby, Kid, Teenager and Adult so from 0-18 year old. Each phase has a special color, questions and action fields.

The Concept

• Make future parents aware of the responsibilities that come up with having a child
• Experience typical situations of raising a child
• Assists with the decision of being ready or not for a child
• To get the serious message across in a playful way

The Inside

• 2-4 players
• The player should be older then 12
• The game takes 50-80 minutes
• There will be round about 80 fields on the board
• 4 different development phases (Image)
• 80 cards per development phase
• 3 different answer alternatives per card and the "right" answer will be shown on the back of the card or inside of the card
• With your given answer, you will get experience points which will be evaluated in the end
• There exist also a few activity fields in which you have to handle with some tasks

Here are question examples from three phases and one action field:

Kid

Your kid comes back from school with a bad exam grade. How do you react?

a) “How could this happen? No TV or PC until you are good in what you did wrong in the exam!”

b) “Next time will be better, school is not everything”

c) “That’s ok, let’s check what you did wrong and right and next time you will be more prepared.”

Teenager
You find some zigarrets/drugs in your kids pocket what will you do?

a) You will give him/ her grounding or another punish-ment.

b) You would just ignore it.

c) You will explain the effects of drugs and how “bad” they are. 

Adult

You talked to the teacher of your child and he/she said that your child is drastically falling behind and skips school on a frequent basis. What are you going to do?

a) You give your child house detention without giving any reasons.

b) You explain the situation to your child and tell him/her that you are worried and you try to find the reason for it.

c) You ignore the whole thing.

Action

You found your 15 years old boy smoking and drinking. The player to the right plays your child and you need to talk to him about it. Act it out!
