Final Bachelor Project
Success and a good and strong image are important factors in a today’s business and companies. To get these factors a corporate identity is important. . It presents the story, mission and vision of the company, especially to the outside and to the market. Corporate identity is useful for companies to present answer questions like “who are we?” and “where are we going?”. This final bachelor thesis is one part of the final bachelor project for the study “Creative Technology” at the University Twente. Next to the thesis a practical work at the ICT Company Q-ray in Wageningen was carried out.
Background
Q-ray is generally working on ICT software-based products like informations systems, in the area of food, feed and flowers. Their customers are satisfied with their work and their substantive and technical knowledge. They are able to persuade potential customers of their quality work and products but most of the time in one on one conversation. In most areas of the agriculture business, people are expecting something to touch, to feel or to see. Because the products of Q-ray are software based, it is hard to convince the people/potential customers with their products.
Project
The challenge for Q-ray is finding a way to (re)present themselves and their work in a compelling way. The corporate identity including their image as an innovative company is important for getting potential customers. For example, a convincing website or a presence in the social and new media is significant to Q-ray. Therefore, a creative or extraordinary means of communication can be a way to be present in the market or to attract attention.
Assignment
The challenge for me is now, to help and support the company by working on their corporate identity but also to come up with a framework of new and creative ideas. Q-ray also mentioned that not only the external image is important but also the image inside the company has to work. The research question is: “Develop a way to communicate in a compelling way the story and the corporate identity of Q-ray to their market and employees.”
